Our first trip of 2010 was to Germany in March. It was a Vorndran family meeting to celebrate Haschi's 70th
Birthday.
Our
first trip to UK in 2010 was planned for Fiona's first birthday on 25th April. We were also invited to the wedding of
one of Pamela's university friends two Weeks later so we managed to stay for the full two weeks.
We
had planned to take a more relaxed route to Calais for once visiting Jon's stepmother in Antwerp. However, we had
to deposit Barbara's mother on Jersey while we were away in England. We are always pleased to stay in Jersey with
Barbara's sister but it makes for a lot of travelling backwards and forwards.
On route from St. Malo to Calais
we managed a stop in x on the Normandy coast.

| In UK for the wedding of Emma and Ben |
We managed to take a second trip to UK in October mainly
for the wedding of Emma (Franklin) and Ben. This time we managed to travel via Germany and see Jon's stepmother and some
of her family on route.

In July immediately after the party at home we set out for a week exploring some of the upper reaches of the River Saone.
We were with Peter and Jean and Terry and Doreen and the boat was large enough for each couple to have their own space. The
area of Franche-Comte is well worth revisiting and next time by land.

Peter took charge of the boat while Jon became navigator
and chief cook for the week. Barbara did her best to keep in the shade while the others did everything to roast in the sun.
The holiday ended with a very nice dinner at Chez Berthe in the town of Seveux.
