After the 90th birthday celebrations the first visitors
of 2010 were Babsi and Jason who came in February with friends on route to the ski slopes.
We were away
for much of April and May and when we returned Debbie and Peter from Canada visited at the end of May to collect
their bicycles and continue their cycling trip around France.
Our extended travels in April and
May had forced us to delay the arrival of our early summer visitors. As a result there was an overlap between Antia and Rolli
from New Zealand and Trudy and Patrick from USA. Both couples were visiting us as part of their respective trips around
Europe. We had the room to accommodate them all so it was fun but hectic.
At the end of June family
and friends started to arrive for Jon's 60 birthday party. Its all very well having so many visitors all together but
we feel that it was difficult to to spend enough time with everyone.
Pam Rob and Fiona: Babsi and Jason: Peter
and Jean together with Terry and Doreen. Peter arrived complete with full disco setup for the party. Its difficult to see
how we can even match his efforts with some sort of musical entertainment in 2011.
In July Rosi and Stephen: Christopher
and Damaris.
In August Trish and Ernie: Barbara Kite and Inis.
In November Barbara's sister Gisela
visited for a week to co-inside with brothers Haschi and Rainer visiting their mother.
We ended 2010 with Babsi
and Jason driving down on Christmas Day they arrived in the early evening regardless of ice storms and slippery roads. We
celebrated Barbara's 60th Birthday on 26 December and went to our local restaurant in the evening.

There were many other celebrations in the village this
year including weddings and birthdays. As we were both celebrating birthdays within 2010 with "0" that
is to say 1950 and also Barbara's mother who was borne in 1920 we were invited to take part in "Banquet des Conscrits".
This dated back to the days when all young people were conscripted into military service. The festival is often recreated in
some parts of France but the original idea was as a farewell party for friends and family of the conscripts. Now its
a good excuse for eating and drinking.
